This free workforce supply in the NHS full day event will be the fifth annual workforce supply conference that NHS Employers has delivered. The event offers an opportunity to hear from speakers from across the NHS and wider health system to share their good practice and experience with others, building on the topics discussed last year.

The aim of the day is to provide an opportunity for delegates who are responsible for workforce/people strategy and practice, including recruitment, workforce development, education, organisational development and learning leads, to hear about some of the different approaches available to sustain good workforce supply practice in the current climate.

At the time of the conference there will be a new 10 Year Health Plan and we will be much clearer of the impacts for the NHS from the forthcoming policy changes in skills and migration. We will provide delegates with the opportunity to hear about these changes from national leaders as well as showcase practical tools and case studies for you to take away and use in your local workplace or system - more detail on the case studies will follow but topics will include supporting newly qualified healthcare professionals to thrive; developing our existing workforce; maintaining widening access/NHS anchor employer activity through tough economic times; AI and recruitment practice.
